The Lab is run according to the principles of creativity as an adaptive productive process in the working towards a tangible goal. When you work with us, we will go on a creative journey together that is informed by extensive research into creativity and idea development.

All our ideas start in the Lab as questions. For example, we asked..

How can we address the bias issue in the design of artificial intelligence systems?

How can the gaming industry help tackle flooding problems?

How can digital sculpture be made an immersive experience?

How can immersive experiences be used to tackle mental health issues?

How is drawing in VR transforming understandings of creativity?

How can we tackle the obesity epidemic?

These ideas are developed iteratively through conversations, research and exploring possibilities.  They are mobile, open, with an outline goal but nothing fixed…yet.

As the ideas emerge from the Lab with partners working towards a tangible outcome, they become Projects. Each project goal is to develop the ideas into products and services with a viable income. The learning from the project activity goes into Case Studies.
