This policy relates to Visioning Lab’s apps. This SERVICE is provided by Visioning Lab at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding Visioning Lab policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our FREE apps as a Service. It also provides a safety warning for use of our augmented reality apps.
Maintaining awareness of surroundings
If our app uses augmented reality, it includes a safety warning immediately upon launch. The warning contains the following:
- An appropriate message about the importance of parental supervision.
- A reminder to be aware of physical hazards in the real world (e.g. be aware of your surroundings).
Personal Information Collection and Use
Visioning Lab’s app service is intended to demonstrate the potential of augmented reality and provide users with entertainment and insight.
In order to show augmented reality in action, the app service accesses the in-built camera on a user’s device. However no data about the user is collected by Visioning Lab via the app.
The user may take photographs through the app using their device but these photographs are not shared with Visioning Lab via the app.
While the app does not collect any personal information by itself; the tools used to build the app include Unity3D and Vuforia’s augmented reality kit which may or may not collect and use personal information as described in the third party section below.

How is collected data used?
The app does not collect any personal information by itself. However, Unity3D, Vuforia, and/or its affiliates and service providers may collect and use Statistics: (a) to provide the Software and Services, (b) to improve and optimize the Software and Services for different hardware and software requirements on various consumer devices (commonly referred to as device fragmentation), (c) to facilitate the provision of new products, updates, enhancements, technologies, and other services, (d) to improve the Software, the Services, and other products, services and technologies, and for any business purpose if de-identified and/or anonymized.
How is the data collected disclosed?
The app does not collect any personal information by itself. However, Unity and Vuforia uses collected statistics for business purpose if de-identified and/or anonymized.
How is collected data retained?
The app does not collect any personal information by itself. However, data collection by the Unity game engine is aggregated/anonymized and available to developers at stats.unity3d.com. PTC Inc. is responsible for the storage of data collected by the Vuforia AR platform.
What if I want to opt-out of third party data collection?
Visioning Lab is dependent on third party software to develop our apps and we do not have any control over the information that they collect. If you are not comfortable with this third party data collection, then please uninstall the app.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
